Novatek has fully formed a pool of investors to finance Arctic LNG-2

In 2022, the company plans to increase the productivity of Yamal LNG by 20% of the announced capacity - up to 20 million tons.

Novatek has completed the formation of a pool of investors to finance Arctic LNG-2; it remains only to conclude the relevant agreements. The head of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, said this to journalists on the sidelines of the Expanding Cooperation in Capital Construction Forum organized by Novatek.

"It’s formed. It only needs to be signed," he said.

Mikhelson also noted that next year the company plans to increase the productivity of Yamal LNG by 20% of the announced capacity - up to 20 million tons. "We are working on the Yamal LNG raw material base and we are getting good results, we have additional opportunities," he said.

At the same time, Mikhelson added that at the moment the fourth line of Yamal LNG is operating below its design capacity and this year will produce about 20% of the planned output.
