French Total will retain its stake in the Arctic LNG-2 and Yamal LNG projects

French TotalEnergies does not plan to leave Russia amid unprecedented sanctions imposed by dozens of countries after the start of a special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.  The company only informed about plans to abandon new investments in the Russian economy.

At the same time, Total's shares in NOVATEK and the Arctic LNG-2 and Yamal LNG projects will be retained.  The company plans to continue operations until sanctions are lifted.  There were no direct indications of an exit from the Russian market at the meeting between the President and the heads of French energy enterprises.

Let us recall that, BP and Royal Dutch Shell announced their intentions to terminate the implementation of projects in Russia.
