Gazprom Neft is asking for six more sites in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on a declarative basis. This was reported to Interfax in the Ministry of Natural Resources.

“The Department for Subsoil Use in the Central Siberian District received applications for the use of subsoil plots located in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the purpose of geological exploration at the expense of its own and / or borrowed funds (“application mechanism”),” the department said.

These subsoil plots do not contain reserves and resources of D0 category of hydrocarbon raw materials, listed on the State balance of mineral reserves, and also do not contain resources of Dl category.

The D0 category resources reflect the possibility of discovering oil and gas in a trap prepared for exploration drilling. The Dl category includes resources in traps identified as a result of prospecting geological and geophysical surveys.

It is also said that Gazprom Neft has applied for a geological study of the Ust-Yenisei area in the Yenisei Bay of the Kara Sea. Earlier the company asked for five plots in the same area on a declarative basis.
