The "Selenga" motor ship will deliver equipment and building materials to Taimyr along the Northern Sea Route

According to the press service of the shipping company reports, Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) has concluded an agreement with NOVATEK.

As part of the agreement, the "Selenga" motor ship will transport new equipment and building materials. The bulk carrier will leave Vladivostok approximately in the tenth of October and head through the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug to the North Bay on the Taimyr Peninsula.

After the raiding unloading, as soon as weather conditions and time permit, the vessel will go to Murmansk, from where it will make another voyage to the Sever Bay with the same cargo.

The shipping company noted that in the winter navigation period the "Selenga" motor ship will be used in other directions, and in the summer navigation next year, the bulk carrier will return to the Northern Sea Route.

Sakhalin Shipping Company is one of the largest shipping companies in Russia. The company's fleet, most of whose vessels are ice-class, is capable of transporting the widest range of cargo: containers, general cargo, machinery, bulk and loose cargo, timber and wood products. SASCO is the only company providing truly year-round transportation from the ports of De-Kastri, Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan.
