Container turnover of the ports of the Arctic basin in January 2022 increased by 19.5%

The container turnover of the ports of the Arctic basin in January 2022 amounted to 13.11 thousand TEU, which exceeds the figure for the same month last year by 19.5%, TASS reports with reference to the Association of Commercial Sea Ports of the Russian Federation.

Transshipment of coastal containers for the reporting period amounted to 13.08 thousand TEU (+20%). The basin ports transshipped 62 TEU (-74.7% year to year) refrigerated containers (loaded, coastal).

Port of Dudinka (PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel) increased container transshipment by 14%, up to 5.33 thousand TEU, Murmansk - by 19%, up to 4.72 thousand TEU, Arkhangelsk - by 28.8%, up to 2.64 thousand TEU.

The turnover of the port of Sabetta decreased by 83.6% to 47TEU. Detailed information on the container transshipment by the seaports of the Arctic basin is shown in the table.
