Norilsk Nickel plans to commission about 3 GW of renewable energy by 2028

The production units of the group of companies are located in Russia in the Norilsk industrial region, on the Kola Peninsula and in the Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as in Finland and South Africa

Norilsk Nickel plans to commission about 3 GW of capacities based on renewable energy sources (RES) by 2028. The president of the company, Vladimir Potanin, announced this in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.

"In terms of generating electricity from renewable sources, we plan to invest and build about 3 GW of installed capacity by 2028," he said.
